What is taxi booking software?
Taxi booking software lets a cab operator take bookings online and run them: the customer requests a trip, the operator prices it, sends a car and driver, and bills it. In Cabaro the customer books on your own page and sees an estimate from your price list for their exact route; you send the final quote on WhatsApp, and they pay you directly by UPI, payment link, bank transfer or cash.

Fares from your rates
Every estimate is your own price, for the exact route.
Cabaro measures the road distance once and applies your price list: here ₹12 a km with 300 km a day minimum, ₹300 driver allowance (driver bata) and ₹250 a night. The customer sees the estimate, always labelled as not the final price, so the first message you get is a real request with a real number on it. Toll, parking and state permit are added at the end as actuals.

Quotes on WhatsApp
Send the price from your own WhatsApp.
Type your price and the advance you want, here ₹9,500 with ₹2,000 upfront. Cabaro writes the message with the customer's link; you tap send. The customer accepts on the link and pays you by UPI, your payment link, bank transfer or cash.

Dispatch
Assign a car and driver. Send the trip sheet.
Pick the car and the driver, and Cabaro warns you if either is already out at that time. Send to driver opens WhatsApp with the trip and a link: the customer, each address with Navigate, your notes. Permit, insurance, fitness and PUC for each car, licence and badge for each driver, remind you at 30, 7 and 1 days.

Taxi billing
The driver's duty slip becomes the bill.
At the end the driver types the km, toll and parking on the same link, or you do. Cabaro works out the bill from your price list, you check every line, and the customer sees it on their link with the balance and your payment options. 502 km and the extras came to ₹11,578, with ₹9,078 still to come.

Choosing taxi software
What to ask before you pick one.
Most cab software is built for an aggregator with an app for every driver. A tours and travels business needs fewer things, done well. These are the questions worth asking any of them, with our answers.
Can you run it from your phone?
Every operator screen works on a phone and a laptop alike. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install for you, your customers or your drivers.
Does it take a commission on trips?
No. One price a month from ₹999, set by how many cars you list. Cabaro never takes a share of a fare.
Who sets the fare?
You do. Your rate a km, your minimum km a day, your packages. Cabaro never suggests, surges or rounds a fare, and your quote is always typed by you.
Does the customer's money go through it?
Never. The customer pays your UPI ID, your payment link, your bank account or your driver, and you mark it received.
Do drivers need an app?
No. Each driver gets a WhatsApp link per trip, with Navigate for every address and Close trip for the km, toll and parking.
Does it track the car on a map?
No. There is no GPS tracking in Cabaro today: the driver's link is a trip sheet, not a tracker. If live tracking is a must for you, Cabaro is not it yet.
Will it message my customers?
Never. No SMS and no WhatsApp from Cabaro. It writes the message and the link, and you send it from your own WhatsApp.
Whose customers are they?
Yours. Cabaro never contacts them, never uses your list and never shows them another operator.

Is Cabaro a taxi booking app for customers?
No. Cabaro is software for the operator. Your customers book on your own page, a web link with your name on it, with no app to install and no account to make. They never see another operator.
Can I put my booking link on Google, Instagram and my website?
Yes. It is one link. Put it in your WhatsApp Business profile and status, your Instagram bio, your Google business profile and on your website, and send it to anyone who calls.
Can I add my own car categories?
Yes. Sedan, SUV, Innova Crysta and Tempo Traveller come as starting rows. Rename them, remove them or add your own, each with its seats, luggage, prices and an example picture from the catalogue.
Does it work for airport transfers?
Yes. A Fixed route row is a price from one place to another, such as Mumbai Airport to Pune, ₹3,500. Your airport runs show at that price on your page.
Is Cabaro a marketplace like the big cab apps?
No. Cabaro is software you pay for. You are the transport provider: you hold the permits, set your prices and take your customer's money directly. Cabaro never takes a booking in its own name, never brings you customers and takes no commission on a trip.
Do my drivers need to install an app?
No. Each driver gets a link on WhatsApp for each trip: time, customer, pickup and drop with Navigate, and Close trip to enter the km, toll and parking. There is nothing to install and no login.
What happens when my Google calls run out?
Requests keep coming. Top up for the rest of the month, or carry on without: address search switches off, the customer types the address, and you do the rest yourself, as on a phone call. Check the route, work out your price, agree it with them and send your quote. You are told at 80% and at 100% of the month's calls.
Can I take bookings that come by phone?
Yes. A phone booking needs only a date, a time and a name or phone number. A returning customer's details fill in from their phone number, and you can still send them their trip link to see the details and pay.
